Feria del Libro Tijuana 2009 

LITERATURA EMERGENTE. LAS EDITORIALES INDEPENDIENTES. 

Franco Félix (Revista Shandy), Antonieta Villamil (Edit. Caza de Poesía) y Gilberto Licona (Edit. Existir). 

Caza de Poesía es una experiencia compartida en la que yo invito a los poetas a participar activamente de la hechura, la edición.  A participar de todo el proceso de hacer el libro desde escribirlo, editarlo, corregirlo, hasta publicarlo en hechura a mano en el estilo Garamond Chaucer y luego presentarlo.

Para mí es un gran honor poder realizar esta entrega. Bajo el imprint o brand Caza de Poesía empecé en el 2003.  esta es una pequeña editorial independiente con base en Los Ángeles.  La inicié el Día Mundial de la poesía en marzo 21 del 2003, como un acto de protesta contra la guerra, la violencia, el desplazamiento, la desaparición y cualquier forma de agresión de un estado de poder hacia un pueblo o de un ser humano hacia otro. Inicié varias colecciones. Una se titula Momoradalsur (como una sola palabra. Para mí es como El Alpeh de Borges: el lugar de la poesía. Otra de las colecciones se llama PoetrySolo o SoloDePoesía. Otra es una colección DeCantoElCanto que reúne poesía escrita por mujeres y una colección bilingüe PoetasContraLaGuerra o sea PoetsAgaintWar.

Como editora observo que, al enfrentarnos a la realidad del monstruo editorial de las mega librerías, las mega distribuidoras que terminan quedándose prácticamente con todo de forma tramposa e indigna para agregar a la rapiña depredadora que ejercen contra los poetas, yo dije pues voy a dar esto a los poetas para contribuir de alguna manera a devolverle este poder de la edición y la publicación a los escritores y a compartir este poder integral en lo que más pueda. 

Quiero además compartir con ustedes un texto que salió en uno de los libros de mi autoría País Al Viento que tiene arte de Alberto Gomez (también incorporo arte de pintores contemporáneos) y en las presentaciones se hace performance con danza, con música, etc. Cada poeta tiene su estilo. 

Este texto me parece muy apropiado. Se titula: Encantamiento para levantar tierra a un país al viento:

Este libro nade en la misma agua de un solo río varias veces 

se queme varias veces en las llamas de un mismo fuego 

sobreviva todas las conflagraciones antes de mirar hacia atrás 

y con toda la fuerza indecible de su nombre diga la ceniza escriba 

luego arda lentamente roca de tiempo en la sal 

mar suspendido preñado de memoria 

este libro inspire cambio hecho a mano y quemado en su propio fuego

quien lo lea actúe por la paz y lleve en la boca 

este hechizo de magia azul.... Así Sea!

To begin with, because of the traits they share in common, despite their different geographical cultures: their personal knowledge of systemic oppression, deep poverty and the suffering created by injustice, war, exile, corruption... :

The soldiers, unshaven,
on the stone wall
have a sadness yawning in their eyes
they listen to the loudspeakers, the sea,
they hear nothing —
perhaps they want to forget...

Also because their absolute resolution to resist the systemic repression they had to endure makes them good advice givers for hard times like the present ones:

watch out for lice
and for spring nights
and always remember
